Experienced recruiter Alejandro Rodriguez shares his knowledge on how to impress recruiters and land a job.

Many young and amateur artists are faced with the challenging task of creating an industry ready portfolio in order to get a job in the industry. Although this is an important step in the career process, it is not the only one artists should focus on. Having the knowledge of what to say or how to impress a recruiter, is in my opinion just as or more important than a stellar portfolio. Artstation Magazine interviewed Alejandro Rodriguez in order to find what impresses game studio recruiters. He goes over tailoring your resume, the importance of having a degree, asking questions, etc.

Check out the interview and feel free to send us any comments regarding your own experience in landing a job in the industry.
