This week, ending 10/03/2015, we are sharing some time management tips and good time saving techniques for artists. More information can be found at www.activia.co.uk

We’ve all been there (some of us still are). As artists it is one of those things we struggle with on a daily basis. As if we didn’t have enough to worry about with finding the best creative ways to solve client problems and keep ideas fresh, we have to constantly evaluate our time in order to fulfill deadlines, keep up with learning new tools or techniques, networking, answering emails, going to meetings, balancing home life, sleeping, and if there is some time…maybe work out and keep your health in check.

This first post (of a 2-part post) will attempt to put some things in perspective for artists who are still trying to figure this out. Professionals and students alike, it is important to know how your time is being spent and how productive or effective you can become if you write down and eliminate unnecessary daily activities. For the purpose of this post, let me become your Jedi master and teach you the ways of the time management force. Enjoy!

In order to make it easier to understand and ease the readability of this complex subject, let’s look at 5 different management personality types. See if you fit into one of them.

5 Management Personality Types

If you see yourself in one of these categories (and trust me, we’re all in one of these categories in some way or another) then you have recognized a time management issue that needs improvement or a little nudge here and there to whip it into shape. Now, let’s also look at common mistakes that are counterproductive to a successful time management mastery.

Time Management Mistakes

Recognize any of these things? We can all relate to some or all of these. It doesn’t matter if you are a high school student or a veteran working professional in the industry. There is a solution to this. After exploring and observing tasks that make us wish we were masters of time or owned a time machine, we can overcome it by following some tips and implementing them into our daily lives. Here are a few that even though simple, it will make you seem like a CEO of a fortune 500 company.

Time Management Tips

This is common sense for a lot of people and yet, it is one of those things we struggle with daily. Remember, you only have to try it over and over until it becomes a routine. It’s just like going to the gym and getting in shape. We’ll continue to explore some more tips and time management apps that can help you become more successful in school or work. For now, take these note and print them, share them, or place it somewhere as a reminder to become more efficient. Until next time…
